THE
USED TECHNIQUES (concluded)
It's
the only technique that I learnt because I had a degree a long time
ago. Of course, I never realized antique costumes but I have basics
to help me.
I started this "technique" in november 2003. I bought a french book named "Miniatures, scènes de la vie", which gave me a few ideas. I began to realize a rose bush for the Escarpolette. I didn't want to buy flowers because I never find that I search and I wanted to do it by myself. In addition, it's very funny ! I made several other flowers and some small bough of oak with their acorns. You can see The Venetian Summer for example.
Other subjects have came to add to the four great ones : spun copper, leaf gilding, papier mâché... But I haven't wanted to stop here my experimentations. I hope I'll learn glass engraving, tapestry (I haven't enough room to set up a loom for the moment), icon technique is also very attractive, earthenware and paper lace ("canivet" in french), and many other techniques... |
