THE USED TECHNIQUES (concluded)

Sewing

It's the only technique that I learnt because I had a degree a long time ago. Of course, I never realized antique costumes but I have basics to help me.

Decorative painting

A lanscape painted with oil colorsI began decorative painting at the beginning of 2002. Unfortunatelly, I didn't find basing book to learn this technique, so I must learn it by myself.

Modelling

I began the technique of modelling in november 2003 with air-hardening pastes. It isn't like fimo and requires a very different approach, like the modelling of clay. I bought two english books about the fimo and other pastes of the same familly which gave me some informations to start. You can see on your right my first small animal in paste, a young wild boar, a part of my creation "Unexpected meeting".

Creation of vegetation

I started this "technique" in november 2003. I bought a french book named "Miniatures, scènes de la vie", which gave me a few ideas. I began to realize a rose bush for the Escarpolette. I didn't want to buy flowers because I never find that I search and I wanted to do it by myself. In addition, it's very funny ! I made several other flowers and some small bough of oak with their acorns. You can see The Venetian Summer for example.

Other techniques

Other subjects have came to add to the four great ones : spun copper, leaf gilding, papier mâché... But I haven't wanted to stop here my experimentations. I hope I'll learn glass engraving, tapestry (I haven't enough room to set up a loom for the moment), icon technique is also very attractive, earthenware and paper lace ("canivet" in french), and many other techniques...
