THE FIRST REWARD
AT ESTHER

The young woman would hope to introduce to the artisan world. As a result, it's a success ! Esther Brassac, thirty years old, installed at Emalleville, gave a 180° turn to her professional career the first January of this year. A symbolic date, from this one, the sympathic secretary has chosen to make of her passion for lace and sculpture her new profession. Henceforward, her savoir-faire is admitted : Esther obtained the creativity prize from the association "La Palette Gravignaise", this weekend. An encouragement prize because it was her first exhibition !

"I want to live by my passion"
Autodidact, Esther Brassac, who has made bobbins lace since the end of 1998, has wanted to continue her apprenticeship : "I have numerous projects including my wish to know more on the marquetry to create afterwards some real masterpieces in order to live by my passion.
For the sculpture, I flung myself into this undertaking. But I must recognize that I am an inveterate ragger. I enjoy all of is antique."

The Saint Michel realised by Esther Brassac, the autodidact artisan from Emalleville caused admiration of the numerous people came to the exhibition.

For almost ten months, she made her little treasures in her 15 meters squared workroom.
Her representation of St Michel, made of cloth, lacquered cardboard and embroidered with gold and silver threads in a frame entirely restored, had all the rage in the course of eleventh gravignaise exhibition which participated twenty local artists.
However, Esther isn't the only laureate of the exhibition, seeing that Josiane Bertois had the judges prize.
